Joann Edwards AKA the Shopper Extraordinaire

Hello,

Let me introduce myself.  I am Joann, also a co-owner of Party and Be Married.   I too started in banking.  That is where Dana and I met so many years ago.  Without rehashing the first part of Dana’s Bio, let me tell you more about myself.  

I have a passion for design, interior design, and that also translates to design in other areas.  I too though, found myself in banking so design was my creative outlet.  

I grew up in an Italian family (starting to see a few similarities in the teams bios here?) where food is an event.  Feeding people is way of expressing love and friendship.  Couple that with my love of design and you get what we call a planner.  You see, planners take care of all of it.  We not only coordinate your day but we design and oversee all of the work and vendors.  

When banking became a sales industry I knew my service skills could be put to better use elsewhere.  I love working with clients and helping them to develop their vision, then making that vision come to life.  My “shopper” title comes from the desire to give the client what they want and to work very hard to make it happen.  That requires a great deal of shopping research and I love to do it.  Many times we find things that are even better.  

On a personal note, I am married to a wonderful husband, have a beautiful blended family with many kids that I adore, I am a grandma and a great-grandma, and that is the greatest      job of all.  

My favorite tip…don’t be afraid to dream and brainstorm.  Throw your ideas out, you would be amazed at what we can create.
